Cannot launch Sims 4
From 5/2/25, I have been unable to get into my game on my PC (which is fairly new and has all the necessary specs to run the app.) The launch begins, runs through about 2 seconds of spinning plumbobs...

moviegrl17 The dxdiag is actually very informative to me, in that it shows you've plugged your monitor into the motherboard. Please plug it directly into the graphics card instead.
If that alone doesn't help, please install the newest driver from Nvidia:

Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator." Choose the Custom (not Express) install method, and check the box to perform a clean install. When you're given a list of features to install, make sure the audio/sound driver is selected. Restart your computer after installing the driver and before trying to play.
Thanks for this. It's been over 2 weeks now since I've been unable to get into game, so I'll give this a try. (When my husband can help; he speaks tech.) But what I don't understand is how the configuration of my computer is suddenly at issue when it's been set up the same way since it came out of the box eighteen months ago and I never had a problem playing. But I do appreciate your help.
