RIGHT HELLO i dont even know if this is what im supposed to ask this on, but i was playing sims 4 earlier in the day and getting a lot of better exceptions alerts saying animation error when my sims would try to change outfits. i dont know if this is related to the issue im about to tell you about but i thought id give some backstory. i came back to play a couple of hours later and when i tried to load the sims, a error message read the system cannot find file specified. the ea app recommended i repair the sims 4, i clicked repair and it kept resetting the repairs so i kept trying to repair until something about permissions errors came up. i restarted my pc and that didnt work, i came on here to look for answers and i saw a lot of people having this problem because of their antiviruses. i tried to set their recommended folders as exceptions to my antivirus but that didnt work. i disabled my antivirus and that still isnt working. i am using windows security. any help would be appreciated. thank you.

@potatomad1 Windows Defender is usually not a problem for Sims 4. Where exactly is your game installed? Please list the full path as the EA App reports it, in your game library under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties. Please also let me know whether repairing worked after disabling the antivirus.

hello! feeling quite silly right now, i didnt realise you could repair the game unless it suggested you repair it. when it suggested to repair it yesterday, i just clicked it, i didnt realise you could repair on your own accord. so i suppose to anyone else with this problem, disable your antivirus THEN repair your game.
