Cannot own retail anymore

everytime i go to one of my retail households i no longer own any of my retail.., no matter whether it’s a get to work lot or cats and dogs vet clinic retail, no matter how many times i try to purchase the store it doesn’t show me owning it anymore and it doesn’t show up at all in the bottom right corner thing it just says buy a retail or buy a vet clinic but when i do that it doesn’t work
