finally. someone with the same problem as me. i have this too. it first started out intermittently, but has progressively gotten worse. the game is unplayable for me now. seriously contemplating whether to just wait for the new update, or just save my game saves and mods, and reinstall the game.
@abc2009717184 Reinstalling the game is unlikely to help here, but if you want to try, a repair is faster and almost as reliable.
How large is this save file? You can check in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves.
Please also list the game version you see at the Main Menu, in the lower-right corner. Some saving-related issues, and at least one save bloat issue, were resloved in the most recent patch, but if your game didn't update, your saves wouldn't be able to benefit from the fix.
