Solved

Can't access any CAS or build items with recently purchased kits and pack.

Since the move from Origin to EA app, I have not been able to access either of the two kits I have purchased or Eco Lifestyle, the expansion pack I purchased because of the sale. I've downloaded them, but absolutely none of the CAS, build items or the world for Eco Lifestyle shows up for me when I open a new save or a previously saved one. I've cleared my EA cache, deleted and then downloaded again both EA and Origin to see if that would work - none of this has. Has anyone else been having this issue and/or knows how to help me? I'm genuinely so frustrated at this point. I just want to play with the add-ons I've purchased and can't get a refund for now as it's been too long -.-. it shows I have downloaded them, tho they aren't showing up at all as added parts of my game.

@hocuswitch13  Please open the CAS Demo folder, as in, this one:

Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4 Create a Sim Demo

and look for folders for your missing packs.  If you see them, follow the instructions in the thread I linked.  If you're not seeing those folders, please post a screenshot.

X doesn't work as a placeholder, at least not for the purposes of this search.  If the CAS Demo folder doesn't contain the missing packs' folders, please run a search for the exact pack names you're looking for.

  • @hocuswitch13  If you have the CAS Demo installed, please see this thread:

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/EA-App-claims-packs-are-installed-yet-they-are-not/td-p/12126024

Otherwise, please run searches for two or three of your missing packs.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter the folder name for one missing packs in the search field in the upper-right corner.  This is the full list of packs:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/extras-2/available-packs-dlc/

For example, if you're looking for Seasons, you'd search for EP05 .  Wait for the search to finish, then make sure the full file path is showing under each result.  If it's not, expand the window sideways as necessary.  Take a screenshot using Windows key-shift-S and attach it to a reply here.  Then repeat for one or two more packs.

I do have the CAS demo installed, but I don't see any pack information there. I've searched for all the expansion packs - ones that I own and I don't and I'm unable to find any EP0X at all (using the X as a placeholder for a number).

@hocuswitch13  Please run the searches exactly as I described and post screenshots of the results.  I'd like to help, but I can't without some visual cues.

If you're getting no results at all from the searches, then you're not running them correctly.  As long as Sims 4 is installed, you should have at least one folder for every pack that exists, whether or not you've installed or even own the pack.

@hocuswitch13  Again, please run the searches I described and post the screenshots I asked for.  No one can help you if we don't know what the problem is.
