cant change game speed

hey friends! 

im playing the sims 4 (with all packs) right now, and no matter what it wont let me use 2x or 3x speed. it will do it for a second and then go back to normal speed. i already closed and opened back up. anyone else having this happen or recommendations of what to do?

    @havoklily Could you try right-clicking on the game in Origin and then hit repair game to see if that helps ?

    If not, are you using mods/cc in your game ?
