Hi there @rcross9472 ,
You might want to make sure you have the latest GPU (graphics card) drivers, otherwise the game misbehaves.
Additionally, if the above doesn't work, then try performing a clean boot before opening the game :3. It should help.

Do let me know how it goes ^_^.
Have a nice week ahead 🐱

Hello ^_^!
I'm sad to hear clean boot didn't work for you ☹️.
By any chance, do you have mods/custom content added or do you have the base game and its own DLCs? :3

@Rocket_TiaI’m having the same problem. A few months ago it started off with not being able to choose different swatches...now I can’t click on the load games on the new home screen. I can either use the big play button or new game. Which means I can’t play my other saves. I’m regretting updating at all now.
ETA: I tried the full screen window option and I was able to use the load games selection. I checked the swatches and it seems I can now select any that I want my sim to wear. Now I’ll check and see if the homes I couldn’t click on the far right are now accessible. But so far so good.

I did a bit of digging and found this:
Based on this, it's either Windows' notifications which mess up with Sims, or Origin's notifications.
Any of you had Windows notifications showing after booting Sims? The Origin notification should be probably the one where it mentions that you can use the interface.
Sadly, it did not happen to me to test more, but I can see other two possible solutions in case the previous ones did not help:
- Disable Windows notifications, https://www.google.ro/amp/s/www.cnet.com/google-amp/news/turn-off-windows-10s-pushy-edge-notifications/
- Reinstall Origin, in case anything in its files is misbehaving and not allowing the game to run properly
I'll think of more though.
PS: Glad to hear the fullscreen windowed trick worked for you, @SimmerMars ❤️ Thanks for sharing! :eahigh_file:

Thank you so much, I'll see if this works.

This 100% solved my problem! I read your comment and remembered seeing a notification the same size and in the same part of the screen I was having issues with, everytime I closed the game.
This time when I booted the game, I hit the windows key to minimize the game then cleared the notification. Reentered the game and problem solved.
Thank you so much for your insight.
