Can't connect to ea servers to activate sims 4.

Everytime I try to launch the Sims 4 I get an error that says I can't connect to the ea servers to activate the sims 4 on my account.

I am getting very annoyed. This has been happening for 3 days and it won't stop. I have tried almost everything.

- Uninstalling Origin 3 times

- Uninstalling Sims 4

- Repairing it 2 times

- checking my firewall

- doing a clean boot

- clearing my cache

- many other things

I have also looked all over the internet but nothing has worked. I need help.

This also happens when I try to launch sims 3 ( I don't ever play it anymore but I was just testing ).

@loserlily  Does your ISP modem have a firewall? Are you using a 3rd party antivirus and/or ad blocker? Do you have a separate router? Does that router have a firewall? The error message you post is caused by the program not being able to communicate with the EA servers. Does the computer with the game have internet access (I have to ask)? Do you have Origin running when you try the activate the games - this is required? Another thing to try is to reset IE 11 (IE 11 is in Windows 10 - search for it) as these games use the API's in IE to communicate. If you have changed any settings in IE that could affect the games communications. On some rare occasions the ISP may be blocking Origin. Try going to a command prompt and type ping easo.ea.com - this should return a response. This will tell you if you are reaching the servers.

add: also rare there may be an issue with some processors (Intel?) running too slow at idle and the communication to Origin times out.

Thank you for your help but, unfortunately none of those worked.

@loserlily  I gave you several things to do and you just say it doesn't work. You need to tell us what happens when you try something like  ping a site - do you get a response? What is the idle speed of you cpu ? Use a program like cpuz - it will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about your cpu. You need to tell us what happens when you try something because we may see something in your answer that you don't see. We can not see what happens when you try something - you have to tell us what happens. If the ping does not work there is something else you can try but I need to know if the ping command works first.

Thanks for the help again. I'm not sure how to ping a site or what site to ping (sorry i'm a noob). I downloaded CPU Z and what do you mean when I try something? Thanks.
