Can't Install Sims 4 from DVD with windows 8.1

Same here.  I'm new to Origin outside of Need for Speed World, so it took awhile for me to find the answer, uninstalling Origin and restarting the DVD installation.  Would help if the updated Origin that was downloaded were to look for the DVD and either address the problem, or send a pop up warning message.
