@jpkarlsen I thought that could be the case but I already tried that multiple times and it hasnt made a difference... unless I have some security software that I don't even know about blocking the game, because I only changed Windows Security since it's the only one I think I have.

@saikikugou Yoou might want to check out this post - sims 4 error Make sure the game is allowed through firewall.
- 5 years ago@roberta591 No luck for me. Maybe I'm missing something simple but I've followed the steps and it hasn't changed a thing.

@saikikugou You need to MOVE or copy and paste the game folder in the user documents folder to the desktop. This would be the first thing to try. Corruption or bad settings is a prime cause of the game failing to start. After you move or copy then delete the folder in the user documents folder when you start the game that folder will be recreated with fresh data. The other common reason for the game not starting is the game not allowed through the firewall. As you are using an educational version of Windows there may be some user privileges may be blocking the game. Did you try to start the game in the administration mode?
- 5 years ago@roberta591 Yes I understand! Unfortunately the issue I mentioned in my post is that I CANNOT move the folder. It does not move or copy/paste. Yes, I have tried starting the game in administration mode, thanks though! 🙂 I don't think the Educational version should be an issue since I have played the game for years previously with no issues.
