Can't play sims4 after CAS mode

Hi guys, so I recently downloaded the sims4 and was creating my sim. But once I click on the checkmark to save my household and begin playing, nothing happens? It doesn't freeze or anything, but I just can't start the game? When I press ESC it's as if nothing happened. 

  I then decided to try the tutorial and after CAS I could talk and walk around in the Sims  world with the tutorial going on in the background, but even then I can't save my game and start from scratch? 

I'm so confused aha :/

    @ratedmelisCan you please check your library? I guess the sims you created are in there.
    You can also check if your sim is in the world by starting a game and see if your sims is somewhere in the world by clicking the 'manage world' button in the top right corner (or press F5).

    When you are in the manage worlds map look again in the right hand corner and click the button manage households. From that place you can move sims into or on to lots or houses.
