@BatmanFanGirl Not only is laptop mode less demanding than normal, it uses less energy. So it's entirely possible that your battery or adapter, or something else having to do with charging, isn't quite capable of handling the load. But at this point, it would be better to have the laptop tested than to keep replacing parts hoping for a fix. A local computer repair store should be able to help you, including replacing the battery if that's necessary. The store would have the testing equipment to diagnose the issue more precisely than you could in person or than I could from here.
