Hi. Please can someone help me!
I done an update on my pc last night and haven’t been able to load game. I get the intro screen load in window then it minimises to a smaller screen plays the music and won’t let me load anything. I have been trying to fix for about 7 hours.
I’ve tried multiple restarts, uninstalling ea app and the game itself. Changing name of the sims folder, deleted individual folders and the whole of the sims 4 folder. Tried uninstalling the updates my computer done last night. Turned off overlays. Honestly about to throw in the towel.
@bellatorem_ox Your dxdiag shows that your laptop's page file is massive and almost all used, which means that you probably have a lot of background processes running and taking up resources. Please open the Task Manager's Startup section and disable anything that doesn't need to start with Windows: Edge, Discord, update services from random apps, etc. Disabling these won't prevent them from working, just keep them from running all the time when you aren't even using them. If you have questions about what to disable, feel free to post a screenshot or two of this startup list.
Restart your computer again, wait two minutes without doing anything, and then open the Task Manager. Let me know how much RAM is in use overall: the percent in the Memory header. If it's more than, say, 30%, you have more services to disable on startup, or perhaps something else is running that you don't know about.
Otherwise, try again to play Sims 4 and let me know what happens.
