can't type in search bar/ keyboard partly not working

Product: The Sims 4 Platform:PC Which language are you playing the game in? Deutsch How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%) What is your current game version number? 1.98.158.1020 ...

    @rottenmeier  If you're running any apps that include overlays, e.g. Steam or Discord, please shut them down before launching Sims 4.  Disable the EA App in-game overlay as well; I believe it's under Settings > Application.

    If that doesn't help, please switch the game to windowed mode and let me know whether it helps.  Even if you don't want to play like that going forward, it's a useful test.

    settings where? in steam or EA or sims? EA is not opening and theres no settings options within the sims app

      @KDiggs67  If the EA App isn't opening, please uninstall and reinstall it.  And yes, I meant EA App Settings.
