can't update my sims 4 game

I have been using the the EA app for a while now and at first there where no issues and everything worked just fine.

Sadly this has changed as for the past few updates of my sims 4 game it will just not update the game, it goes to a 100% but then stops and does nothing to which I am unable to play my sims 4 threw the EA app.

To bypass this problem I have to uninstall the EA app then update the game threw the original Origins application and once its (with a little luck) updated I can reinstall the EA app and play the game but this is such a hassle and I just wish you all would fix this problem as this never happened before but is something of the past updates of the game and it sucks.

I have tried all the recommended fix and none works. It just seems to get stuck at 7% update. Now I'm downloading the app  and it's not moving . Now 2 days

@CandiKane94 and @queemo4  Try going offline in the EA App and back online.  The option is in the dropdown menu in the upper-left corner of the App window.

If that doesn't help, try forcing the App to update.  Go here:

    C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop

    and launch the EAUpdater.exe.

@EMGlover  What happens when you try to update or repair?  If you get an error message, please post a screenshot.

Game is asking for an update, however this was completed a few days ago. Since bought expansion packs all dowloaded fine.

Gone to play today and now asking for an update again and my packs bought over the weekend are no longer linked, advising I needs sims4 base game to play.

    Deleted and re-installed EA

    Cleared cache

And currently in the process of repairing each expansion individually

Any help will be greatly appreciated

@7f1d9c1504cfc3e1  Where did you buy the packs: directly from EA, from Steam or Epic, or from a third-party vendor that provided codes for you to register?

Additionally, are you sure you're in the correct account?  The message about needing the base game should only appear if you've signed into an account that doesn't already own it, which might be the case for an alternate account.  Please double-check this account's purchase history for your previous purchases, not just the most recent ones, to see whether this is in fact the account you'd been using up until now.
