Unable to open game beyond initial loading screen.

My sims 4 will not open beyond the initial start-up screen after one of the last updates. I've removed all mods and save files, repaired the game, reinstalled the game and the EA app, updated my drivers and tried running it as an admin but nothing has worked.

I'm using a Lenovo Legion laptop and there has been no trouble before. The last time I was able to open the game, I changed the settings to allow mods and tried restarting the game. That was about a month ago and since then I haven't been able to open it.
