CAS Glitch? Edits not being saved.

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.46.18.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get to Work, City Living, Get Together
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Editing in CAS
What happens when the bug occurs? Whenever I try to change my sim in CAS it doesn't save. Sometimes I just make small tweaks to the nose or accessories and when I'm done and go back to the gameplay, everything was back like it was before I tried to change it. I already tried a lot of things like removing cc, repairing the game and even reinstalling it. It's clear that the issue is with that save only because in other saves this is not the case. Is there any way to fix this? I have poured hours and hours into that save.
What do you expect to see? My changes in CAS would be saved.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I have tried several things which include the following:

- Removed Mods folder.
- Deleted game cache, and the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder.
- Made Changes in CAS, saved the changes, saved game, exited game and restarted the game.
- Repaired Game.
- Uninstalled/Reinstalled Game.
- Sims 4 factory reset, with new save no mods/cc.

I have spent hundred on hours on this save, and definitely sad that my CAS changes are not being saved at all for this save. Would appreciate the help.

How unfortunate ☹️ good thing I was able did a backup a few months back so I don't have to start from scratch.

Thank you for the reply! 🙂

  • Hey @dtang0224

Sadly, mods can mess with saves to a point of not recovery, and given the information you provided seems like the save is corrupted ☹️
