sims 4 crashing when laptop is charging

hello! i've noticed that the sims 4 gets unbearingly laggy and/or crashes whenever i'm charging my laptop while playing. it's not a super major issue, and since i don't have a gaming pc i know that there could very well be no solution to fix this. however i was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if you've been able to do anything to make it better. thanks :)
