CAS RELATIONSHIPS NOT SELECTING

I've just downloaded a mod, the updated version of MCCC pre-the November 15th patch, and ever since the patch I've experienced an issue with relationships between two of my sims. I should also mention that I've deleted all of my old saves and started a completely new game as of the C&D release. I created two separate families and took one sim from both households that I want to be my main family and I moved them into an apartment. Here's the problem; when I saved and exited my game they were roommates. When i reloaded the game later, they were spouses! I tried to use MCCC's relationship settings to reset the relationship but it would never change the spouse bit, so every time since then that I saved, exited, and later reloaded the game they would be married again, buffs and all. AND I CAN'T EDIT THE RELATIONSHIP IN CAS. I just need them to be roomies, but every time i go into cas.fulleditmode to change the relationship, the option shows but when I click it it doesn't select, it just stays at husband/wife.  I contacted the creator of the mod, Deaderpool, and spent a loooong time trying to figure out what the issue was. He thinks it may be a problem with the most recent patch?? He suggested that I take out all mods/cc and test Cas that way. I've tried it and the same problem persists, I cannot edit the relationship in Cas. PLEASE HELP. Otherwise I'll have to try deleting this game file and starting over, AGAIN☹️

  • Could you test a brand new family to see if it works there with the cheat ?

  • I did use a different family to test it out, (removed all mods/cc) and it didn't work either. Alas, I did a simple fix (don't know why I didn't think of it before) but I had to make the sims get a divorce. Of course, just doing the divorce somehow didn't work alone because exiting my game afterward and reloading; they were still married. So I had to make them get a divorce and use MCCC to make them completely forget one another and then I had to use MCCC relationship settings to adjust the relationship to how I wanted it to be initially. Once I saved, exited and reloaded, the sims were no longer married and did not have the newlywed buffs. I tried to do the same to the test family without using MCCC, and the divorce alone did not work, reloading make them married again.

I'm not sure if Deaderpool was right about it being some kind of glitch on EA's part, but without divorce and MCCC, it seems that I cannot have two unrelated sims in the same household without them becoming married, and I cannot use cas.fulleditmode to edit relationships.
