CAS: Sim's Arms Stuck

So, in Create a Sim, I was making a new sim (as you do) and chose a cute pair of pants for her normal outfit. They were base game pants, but as soon as I put them on, my sim's arms stuck out like they do with a poofy skirt. However, she wasn't wearing a poofy skirt, just pants. Has anyone else had this problem? The first picture with the blue pastel pants is what it looks like without the glitch, and the second picture with the dark pants are what it looks like with the glitch.
