CC and Mods dissapear in game but are still in folder

Every so often when I download something like a package file mod or cc my cc and mods dissapear in game, all of it’s still in the folder as well as the resource file. I also use Mod Conflict Detector to check if all my mods and cc are working and they all say ready? When I load the game up and go into live mode my sims have been changed into default ea clothes, skin etc and my mods are gone. I fixed it once by clicking repair and backing up my files then putting them back in but most of my mods or cc when i do that no longer work either?

    Hi @BelindaD

    Did you check if mods/cc are still turned on in your game options ? It gets disabled with patches and you need to turn it back on after you made sure all your cc is still compatible.

    If that's the case, sometimes the game decides to rather use the folder on OneDrive if you use that.

    Here's an easy method to find out which folder your game is using: https://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

    If it's not the one in doc, you can just move your files over to the one it is using. If that's oneDrive, you can also just turn oneDrive off and not use. That should force the game to use the one in your doc folder again.
