city living trial

i literally cannot play the trial, it ask me to restart the game and i did, even restart the origin app and still nothing.

This did not work for me, it almost seems like there is no hope.

@surlune It just worked for me, so I'm gonna help you, First I did what he said and turned on automatic updates, then closed origin and all other apps, then opened task manager and made sure nothing else was open and restarted my computer. then I opened origin and the trial is now downloading.

OK, so these were the trial and error but in the end i got a positive result 🙂

1) restarting game - no result

2) uninstalling and reinstalling origin - no result

3) close origin in task manager - no result

4) uninstalling and reinstalling Origin client - no result

5)******* uninstalling and reinstalling The Sims 4 base game - City Living trial now does show in the 'to download' list for reinstallation.

it took about 45 mins to download everything for me, but its working now :D

hope this works for others.

I followed your advice and it got it to download. But just opened the game and although it shows as installed on Origin it isn't there. Same issue for you? So annoyed! They mustn't promise us a free sample and then it has a wealth of issues.

Yes, it started downloading immediately. Sorry to hear you weren't able to get the free trial to work.
