MistyLake This error is most commonly related to an overly-protective antivirus. So please check yours for any actions involving Sims 4, and set exceptions/exclusions as necessary. If you only use Windows Defender, check Controlled Folder Access too—the problem often only shows up there. This guide covers Defender and a couple other common AVs:
