Items take extremely long to place in build mode

Whenever I try to place items or do pretty much anything like build walls place roofs or rooms there's like a 10-20 second delay in between my input and when the item gets placed, 2 months ago the same thing was happening but I fixed it by doing the clean user folder method (to fix an unrelated issue) but I tried that and it didn't work :c I looked up this problem but I only found a post from 4 years ago that specifically said something about delay in placing items and I couldn't find a fix there, I did find someone saying better build buy may be causing it and I did remove it the first time this was happening which helped but didn't get rid of the delays entirely but it persisted when I removed it this time around

I've disabled mods cleared all my cache and updated and repaired my game both times this has happened u_u
