Colorful stripes across screen

So, i just downloaded my the sims 4 via origin, and there is just pink and purple and other colored stripes horizonally across the screen.

I tried to change settings higher and lower etc, but nothing helps. I runned 'canurunit' and it said that my laptop CAN run it ☹️

I also updatetd my video card, which is GeForce GT 330M, and my cpu is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 480 @ 2.67GHz

AND the other game is still running well behind these stupid stripes >☹️

    It is probable you are inadvertantly using the IGP rather than the nvidia/AMD GPU.

    Try the following to be sure your discrete GPU is being used rather than the on-board IGP.

    1. Open the nvidia control panel
    2. Manage 3D settings, Program settings tab
    3. Click add to choose the program to customize
    4. Click browse and choose: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\TS4.exe
    5. Set your graphics preferences and click apply.

    The fix for this is getting manufacturer cturer drivers.

    Who is the manufacturer of your PC?

    Barry, just three words; i love you. Tried to play, and it works perfectly, so the stripes are gone. Thank you so much 🙂

    My laptop is Toshiba satellite A660-1GC

    im having the same issue but i cant find the nvidia control panel you are talking about. what do i do ??

    You should be able to access the Nvidia Control Panel by right clicking on your desktop.

    There is no NVidia option, but im building a desktop with a nice NVidia graphics card that will be my main system. It might work then! Thanks for the help anyway!
