Computer freezing while playing Sims 4

My entire computer freezes while playing Sims 4. I am unable to close the game or even move my mouse, and have to hard reset the computer. I've tried reseting my game data to factory settings with no...

My computer isn't overclocked. I thought it might have been overheating so I tried playing the game at minimal settings and still had the same issue.

      Computer is continuing to freeze during gameplay. I used AMD Catalyst Control to monitor the temperature of the card while playing and during the crash it had it at 70c.

      The computer does not unfreeze after it has frozen. I've tried waiting several hours before with no change.

        Is this an issue that started with a certain patch or was it always like this for you ?
