PC Freezing Completely

After using google, researching all that I could, repaired my game files, looked through my mods and everything else, I cannot figure out what is going on.

Backstory, I recently got completely new components in my pc, like all that I did is essentially a whole new computer, just the same case. Either way, I was so excited to get all my games and mods back up and running, yet to my demise, my sims keeps crashing my entire computer.

I've been looking this up for hours, trying a whole bunch of different things, running the game through DX9, updating my drivers, etc. All I'm trying to do when it does eventually freeze, is stream the game through discord with my fiancé and our best friend. After I updated my drivers, everything seemed to run perfectly fine with *nothing else open*. Could this have anything to do with discord? Looking for some answers! Thank you in advance.

*dxdiag attached just incase

So, I don't know what fixed it, but I've been running it for about..... 20 ish minutes, no lag, 145/170 fps. I went through, got the Holiday pack out, that fixed one thing before it crashed again. Once I started looking into my limiters, I thought, hey, lets optimize this through my NVIDIA App.... Actually added it through, and its worked like a charm! I'm now onto finally making my sim, no crashes at all.

  • DeerDrizzy  To be clear, the problem only happens when you're streaming through Discord?  If so, try another service; there are a few free ones out there that work well, like OBS.  The question is whether the issue is Discord or streaming in general.

As for your dxdiag, I'd actually like the entire thing, saved as a text file (the "save all information" button).  I can't do much with the info in your screenshot.

Sorry for such a delay, I tried getting back into it after getting agitated, and its now happening every single time I open the game. I opened the game with nothing else open and its quicker with the freeze. I've noticed it freeze with loading some of the packs, and saw someone mention the Holiday pack causing it? I'm not sure. Here's the full dxdiag for you :) I'll also mention that I was only trying to stream to my friends through vc, not through twitch or actually streaming it through any other platform.

  • DeerDrizzy  I hope the game is fixed going forward, but if it's not, let me know.  Your dxdiag doesn't list any proper Sims 4 crashes, although it does show that the TSR CC Manager is crashing, so you might want to stop using it until the tool is updated.  That doesn't mean not using cc, just avoiding the manager.

The holiday pack shouldn't have anything to do with any of this.

Idk if this is the same issue I have? But what did you change in Nvidia? It currently says the game is Optimized but idk.
