Hello!
My game was working just fine last weekend, but when I bought and installed businesses and hobbies today it started crashing. I can't go more than five minutes in any of my saves before the game fully crashes on me. I uninstall my mods before downloading any new packs and completely clear out the folder, so I don't think that's the problem.
Any help would be appreciated!
SimslyLeah If you have any files in ConfigOverride, please delete them.
Otherwise, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.
If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
I’m having the exact same issue, and my game is crashing specifically when I try to adopt a cat through the phone (“call an adoption service”). I saved my game just before the adoption personnel arrives at my sim’s lot, so my game just keeps crashing.
