Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.67.45.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have all packs installed (all EPs, GPs and SPs)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Look at your feed on the gallery
What happens when the bug occurs? After about 1-10 views of thumbnails in my feed
What do you expect to see? When, I click on the thumbnail of the lot, room or sim in a thumbnail of my feed or on the gallery, I expect it to load within 5/10 seconds so I can comment and fave.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Noticed this after the 10/6/20 patch.
When I view thumbnails on the gallery or esp. on my feed, I click on the thumbnail to I can fave or write a comment. When I click on the thumbnail the circle shows it trying to load and 5 minutes later it's still trying. I happens within viewing 1-10 thumbnails and sometimes happens when I try to fave a lot (and I haven't tried to write a comment).
I have added exceptions into my AVAST anti-virus and can see all of the gallery & the thumbnails in my feed without problem...I just can't click on the thumbnail and get the lot to load so I can fave or comment. I have cleaned my cache and added exceptions into my anti-virus program.
Merging this with the Avast thread although you already did this.
It looks like something is still blocking you from doing stuff on the gallery,
If you turn off Avast for testing purposes, does it work ?
- 5 years ago@crinrict I disabled Avast for like 10 mins to see if it worked as you suggested. It does bring up a lot of the items from the gallery now, but I still am getting some with the big thin red X's. But in the same time is that this needs to be fixed by EA because this is their game it should work with things like Avast. What am I going to do for protection on my computer? I can't afford to pay for something monthly...

@tweetybeck1986 You need to add Sims as an exception to ransom protection. No need to turn it off.
Ransom protection protects your user files from being changed and that's what avast does.
@jadylady90 I merged your thread. Please see suggestions on the first page.
- 5 years ago@crinrict im running the free version of avast as my anti virus could this be contributing to my problems?
