What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All packs EXCEPT Snowy escape
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Check to enable mods, Put any CC file in the Mods folder, restart game as directed
What happens when the bug occurs? December update: no longer able to enable mods. I check to enable, enabling Script mods is already checked by default it appears. Pup up says game must be restarted to make changes. Restarting game again gives pop up that the mods have been disabled.
What do you expect to see? I expect the "enable mods" setting to have remained the same. I do not expect to get the "Mods Disabled" pop-up on restart.

Played game last night with no issues, started game today and installed update and can no longer have ANY files (other than the resource.cfg file) in the Mods folder or the Game disables all mods. I am unable to enable Mods at this time as setting changes for this are not being saved.
Things I have tried include:
Removed the mods folder and restarted the game 4 times and Enable mod stays checked.
Put Maxis RECOLOR file in folder started game, mods disabled.
Tried every single CC file 1 at a time that were previously in mods folder with same result EVERY time.
Deleted saves, temp files etc still wont save the "enable mods" setting
Restarted PC twice, still wont save the "enable mods" setting.
Clicking "restore default settings" checks the "enables mods" unchecks the "Enable Script Mods", Reverts back to previous setting upon restart. and Disables Mods.
Repaired game via origin (didn't fix the issue).
I have been trying for over an hour and can not get this issue fixed.
