My gameplay runs smooth except there is no sound at all, plus the occasional freezing and crashing due to this new game update.
The only mods I have are MCCC and WonderfulWhims, but nothing else. I don't use CC in my game either. any clues on how to fix this?
SarahSurreal Please test with no mods just to be thorough. You don't need to save your progress.
If that doesn't help, please move Options.ini out of Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and onto your desktop, to allow the game to create a new version. Don't change any settings, all of which will have reverted; you can trash the new Options.ini and restore the old one when you're done testing.
If that doesn't help either, please test with a different sound output device, one that uses a different type of connection, for example built-in speakers vs. headphones connected via jack or USB.
