I've seen older posts on this topic and have tried their fixes, but nothing has worked.

Ever since the NOV2020 update and download of snowy escape I've been getting the error

ed35e0ea:29f00e76:00000000:18a1dd51, which states that the sims is already running in the background.

I've deleted all mods and cc completely, uninstalled and reinstalled the sims 4 twice, restarted my computer, and checked for origin updates. I've even changed the folder permissions as advised in an older post with this issue.

Nothing is working. I'm incredibly frustrated. Please send help.
