[CURRENT ISSUE] Game won't Open says "already Running"

This is exactly what I have. Same popup message. I have worked on it for at least 15 hours. I have tried all these suggestions. Any new suggestions? This is driving me nuts. Thanks, Cheryl

If those don't help, please diable your antivirus entirely, at least long enough to test.

  @puzzlezaddict Yes, I tried option B, but I didn't quite understand about signing is as an administrator with option A. I thought I had read EA was going to do an update to fix this, since so many people are having problems? Do you know anything about that? Still not working at all.

    Since the most recent update patch in November 2020 my sims 4 game will not start up. It has a pop up stating that the game is already running when it isn't.
    I've tried repairing the game, restarting the PC, removing the mods folder, starting through administrator, nothing is working.
