@brittk45 Try the steps listed here, at least the ones you haven't done already:

@brittk45 Do you have Origin or Sims 4 set to run in compatibility mode? If so, please undo that setting.
If that doesn't help, try playing while your computer is not connected to the internet. Sign into Origin and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before launching the game.
If that doesn't help either, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

- 5 years ago@puzzlezaddict Hello after doing some more research into the problems with the virus protection, I chatted with the virus protection tech support, and was able to find out they are updating systems today and that could be why the other troubleshooting is not working along with the update in the sims. So I have reuninstalled my virus protection and wait till the company and sims 4 to update, to test play. Thank you

@puzzlezaddict When people say they uninstall all of sims 4 and reinstall it, do they save it on an external hard drive and just delete it all. That sounds a bit scary to me. I have downloaded all my games through Origin & a couple from Amazon. I have tried to repair it many times. The first time it worked for a day or two. Thanks, Cher
