My game is doing the exact same but the pop up message is different, it says is already running.
@Cher151 Could you be a bit more specific about what happens to your game? I thought you couldn't open it at all. If you can open it initially, but then it doesn't work the next day, that suggests there's something else going on. Or did you mean the repair worked the first time but nothing else has worked since then?
There was a patch today to address the major in-game crashing issue, and while there's no indication it would help with your issue as well, it's worth updating before doing anything else.
Otherwise, do you have OneDrive enabled and set to automatically sync the contents of Documents with cloud storage? Do you disable your antivirus again the next time you play? Does it help to move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, to let the game spawn a new one? When testing, please don't add anything to the new folder, if you get one.
