I downloaded sims 4 from steam then downloaded ea to connect my packs as I was having trouble with that. But now I have a new issue. All of the sims in my game are these red and white question mark pocked things.
I have no idea how to fix this.
I have a lot of progress in a saved game and my entire sims family is aesthetically destroyed.
I haven't tried opening the save file but not even trying to make a new family fixes the issue

I also am not being given the option to repair game when I try that avenue
@basilthegrey I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue. Repairing is the usual first step; what do you see when you try to repair? If you play through Steam, you'd need to repair through Steam as well; the option is called "Verify integrity of the game files," and it's somewhere under Properties.
I tried what you suggested on Steam and it worked! Thank you for saving my game!
