Pebblish​  I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue.  Yes, you can uninstall Seasons alone without removing the game overall.  Close the EA App and kill the EABackgroundService in the Task Manager.  Open [install location]\The Sims 4 and delete the EP05 folder inside.  This is the default location:

C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4

Then open the Delta folder and delete the EP05 folder inside there.  Open the EA App, repair the game (Sims 4 > Manage > Repair), and download Seasons (Manage > Manage add-ons).
