[CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 4 already running

Hi! I'm having an issue getting The Sims 4 to launch on the EA App.

For context I'm using Windows 11 on PC and have most of the expansions/game packs/etc., just missing a few kits and stuff packs.

I was playing the Sims 4 for a few days and it ran fine. A few issues with annoying bugs and had to repair it a couple of times but nothing too major. I stopped playing for a few days and when I came back, it said it was already running every time I tried to launch it. I uninstalled both the Sims 4 and the EA app as well as checking to make sure it was closed through task manager like other forum posts said to try on top of restarting my computer. 

In case it matters, I did delete all files incorrectly but after some guidance I uninstalled the EA App properly and reinstalled and am getting the same "already running" notification. When I tried to send help through the app to EA, I kept getting another notifcation saying my "error report encountered an error". So I went to the website and chat with someone who said they made changes to my account or something and had me uninstall the EA app again and it still didn't work. They sent me links, none of which worked. They were: Clearing cache, troubleshooting graphics(?), and vc++ and .dll errors with Origin (which I can't find these files on my computer, not sure if that may be the issue or if it's just not compatible or relevant to my device or EA app? I'm not smart with this stuff at all so I'm sorry lol).

I also checked Windows for updates or security updates/firewall issues and I'm not seeing anything that could be the issue there. I only use this computer minimally for school and games so there isn't much on here to begin with. I read it could be issues with my Cloud/OneDrive but I've never touched it and can't find what the issue could be there either.

I tried posting in the Sims 4 Facebook group and nobody has been able to help me. It's been a few days of this and can't get it sorted.
