Ive had this issue for a while and tbh couldn't be bothered to try fix it and just played something else, but the last two days ive been actively trying to fix it.
I launch the game through Steam. But i have EA app installed too as i am aware it uses this to actually play it.
My game has no mods/scripts at all I only played vanilla.
I have tried the following with no fix:
- I've uninstalled both Steam and EA
- I've tried forcing the - dx9 command in Steam.
- Ran the command "perfmon /rel" came back clean with no Sims, steam and EA errors for today
- Restart the app, restart my computer
- Do a refresh (copy/paste Sims 4 folder on the desktop so the game would create a fresh new one),
- Repair the game/ check the integrity of files on Steam for the game,
- Uninstall the Sims 4 and reinstall
- Update EA App, uninstall and reinstall the App, repair the App,
- Updated the sims game via Steam to the latest update.
- Ran the command “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” came back clean
- Made a new user on my pc and tried to run the game, which wouldn't even launch, but gave no error message.
- I have also only been trying to get the base game to launch, not any DLC yet...
I am now at a total loss of what to do and it seems this error has been happening for years, but no actual forum fix to follow...
I also can't just play the game on EA app because nearly all my DLC is over on Steam, and unless EA are going to give me EA app versions, im not spending MORE money on DLC, the game is over DLC'ed as it is.
I've attached my DXDiag.
