I’ve been running Sims 4 on DX9 for months because it works best for my HP laptop. However, today I uninstalled GShade and ever since, my game has only been able to launch in DX11 and when I try to launch my game in DX9, it does not open and I get a pop up instead (attached below). Does anyone know how to fix this?
Hi, I tried the clean boot with only EABackgroundService enabled, but unfortunately the issue still persists. Even in this state, The Sims 4 still won’t launch in DirectX 9 (it only works in DirectX 11). Do you think this issue is more likely related to DirectX 9 installation or leftover files from GShade? Let me know what you recommend I try next. Thank you.
