Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1: Open EA App 2: Select Sims 4. 3: Select “Play.” 4: Error pops up saying “Sims 4 is already running.”
What happens when the bug occurs? The game won’t launch or load.
What do you expect to see? The game launching and me being able to play it.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
Any time I try to open the game, I receive an error saying that the game is already running and therefore cannot be launched. I have tried every single troubleshooting option available and nothing works. I have rebooted my computer a few times, uninstalled the EA app and Sims 4 app then reinstalled them, checked my firewall, etc. None have worked.
