To add: yes I have CC turned on under game options

I see one of the files was a .zip? They need to be package files, so please unzip everything first. Also, the old resource.cfg does not permit sub-folders, you can try deleting that and starting your game again.
Most important, this is the PC forum, you'll get better help in the Mac one. https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/bd-p/The-Sims-Mac
But I can try.First. Make sure they're installed correctly: https://bluebellflora.com/itsaprilxds-how-to-install-mods-on-a-mac-guide-the-sim-4/
Still not working? Open your game, go to Game Options and then Screen Capture. Make sure that the place where the files are saved in the same as the one where the screenshots are saved.
For example, if your cc are in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods, your screenshots should be in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\screenshots.If they are somewhere else, like your Cloud, go here: https://bluebellflora.com/2017/02/06/sims-3-and-sims-4-not-loading-save-games/
Please check this thread for more tips on issues with mods/cc on Mac ๐
Also! If you download like people or houses, there are some files that should go in the Tray folder instead. Please check the creators page (where you downloaded it) for instructions. (and below)
SpoilerThese kinds of files go into your mods folder. cc ends with .package. Some other mods ends with .ts4script, .py, .cfg and maybe some others. But cc, .package
These are the files that go in your Tray. as you see their names are usually many number end such. Other endings are .blueprint, .bpi, .room, .rmi.
These should not be in sub folder, I believe, and will turn up in your library) - jpkarlsen8 years agoHero (Retired)
The one file I can see is a *.zip file which means that you have not unpacked it. This is necessary.
From the folder names it appears that some of them may be houses which go into the Tray folder not Mods.
Some appears to be Sims which also go in the Tray folder.
You can not use folders inside the Tray folder but you can in the Mods folder.
Also if the folders contains zip files or another packed format such as rar these must be unpacked.
You should always read the installation instructions when you download something.
I also had this problem, but I figured out what was wrong ๐
if you are using a macbook (in my case the macbook 12" from 2015) it doesn't show you that's it's a .rar or .7zip when you download it. For me it had .package behind the zipped files, so I simply put them in my folder. It couldn't identify the zipped files, and that was my problem.
What I did was I downloaded The Unarchiver (here's a link for it in the App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-unarchiver/id425424353?mt=12 )
Once you have it downloaded, go back into your mods folder and sort it by type. The app should show you all of the zipped files and then you simply unzip them by pressing two fingers on the mousepad (right clicking) and press Open With: the unarchiver.
Hope this helps ๐

This is the PC-forum, I think your tip might work better on the Mac forum, but they also have really good instructions on how to install cc over there ๐
https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/bd-p/The-Sims-Mac - I go to simscatlog.com and I download things there and put them in my mods folder but they donโt always appear in he game

But other mods do?
Make sure you follow the instructions on the homepage, and also check that the mods are updated, if they're old they might not work! - The only ones that donโt show have a zip on it and I donโt know to unzip it

Okay, so all the mods not working are zipped?
Depending on if you have a program for this or not I can show two methods.
Some folders might need a program to help unzip them. I have the free program 7zip on my PC.
If you have 7zip, Right click the folder, hover over 7zip, and then click "Unpack to >folder name<" or something like that. If you have another program they'll likely work in a similar way.
It should give you this, a normal folder
Some files windows can unpack by themselves, without any other program. They look like this, a folder with a zip on them. When selected a pink tap should show up that says "Tools for compressed folders"
Click on the tab, and then choose Extract all. A window will pop up. You can undo the little box that says "Open the folder in a new window" and then just click enter/go.
Now "all" your folders will be unzipped! You can delete the zipped folders!

Yes, the first thing I did was check that that was ticked. All of the custom content is in the mods file, it just doesnt show up in the game.
