difficulty starting the game

I cant start up the game. I keep getting an error message that tells me the game data is missing or damaged and that i need to uninstall mods. I have never installed mods and Ive "repaired" and reinstalled the sims 4 2 times now and nothing works. Ive cleared my cache, ive removed my add-ons, and nothing works. It says to do it through origin but Ive heard that that doesnt even exist now. I would like to play the game especially since I've spent a lot of money on it in the past.
