Sims 4 household taking too long to load
Recently, after the Sims 4 patch, my game has been acting up, specifically, it's taking a while to load Lemme explain after creating a new household, and I click to play, it'll take about 10 minutes to even show me the world menu after it finally shows i'll click a lot to play on and it won't even load up I've tried deleting mods, localthumbcache & 50/50 method nothings working i'm literally just thinking about quitting because before the update i just had to update some mods and delete some as well i can't pin-point the exact issueThe Sims 4 won't launch on Steam Deck. NO MODS/CCs
the "preparing game" still appeared but then crashed and go straight to menu. tried all of the "solutions" on google. (including,"verify integrity of game files", change the proton system from proton experimental to 9.0-4, switching to desktop mode and opened EA app from there, in which keeps crashing). and nothing worked. Finally, i uninstalled and reinstalled the game, it finally launched, but I LOST ALL OF MY SAVE FILES, no "load games" on the TS4 menu. i was so frustrated, tried playing a new save file anyway, and then i tested it by quitting the game, to see if it's gonna launch again or not. turned out, it didn't launch AGAIN! HOW CAN I AND YOU FIX THIS, EA???? AND HOW CAN I RECOVER MY SAVE FILES ON STEAM DECK. i have no mods/CCs, but i have lots of DLCs. i 'm using Steam Deck. not a tech savvy, i like playing the sims without a desk, that's why i've been playing it for almost 2 years on Steam Deck.Sims 4 Crashes When Launched
Hey guys! I have an issue I've been trying to solve for 4 days now and could use some advice... I try to load up my Sims 4 game, and when I click it, it loads, but before it reaches the menu, it crashes and exits the game completely. I feel like I have tried everything that would show up on Google, I've talked to an advisor on the EA tech support, I've followed what others have shared on the Steam discussion threads, and more. What I have tried includes: Restarting and updating my laptop Uninstalling Sims 4, the EA app, and Steam. The reinstalling them one by one. Verifying the integrity of the files Moving files around and connecting my hard drive back up to my computer (it isn't connected to my computer) Updating every app I have Uninstalling any mods or DLC connected to Steam and Sims 4 (including the EA app) Repairing and restarting the EA app Updating my graphics card and changing it to other options Open the task manager and end the process of the EA background services and more... If you have any other support ideas or ways to fix this, or try to fix it, please let me know! If anyone else is having this issue, please let me know as well because I am really stressed out and would love to know if I am not the only one... Thank you...Does anyone know how to fix this???
So my game is like broken and won't open. I've tried to open it thru Steam and the EA app, but the same things happen. It starts to load, shows the Sims 4 title screen and starts loading the screen with tips/tricks. After that it just completely stops and closes itself. I've tried repairing the app, restarting my PC, deleting mods that i could remember we broken. Nothing is working and i haven't found any solutions online, can anyone please help 🥲SolvedSims 4 Expansion Packs (Cats and Dogs)
Hi there, for some reason, it’s not downloading the pack and I’ve tried searching everywhere to see if I could download it. On Steam, there’s no option for me to download it besides buying again. On the EA app, it says to handle the download on Steam, but again it doesn’t tell me?!?! On the Sims 4 application, it doesn’t say to download it or not, it just tells me that I’ve already bought it. Can someone help me? Please and thank you!15Views0likes0CommentsAbnormal game boot-up, is there anything I could do???
Ever since the release of the Life & Death update, my game began to boot up in an unusual way, before crashing the game after 10 seconds of reaching the end of the game's boot up animation. Clarification: -After opening the game, the game froze into a black screen for two seconds before continuing onto its intro animation, but no audio played throughout. [Clear sign of an abnormal boot-up.] -At the end of the animation, the game froze up until, eventually, turning into a black screen and crashing afterwards. [Sometimes, even after crashing, it won't redirect me to the EA App after the ordeal.] I've honestly tried everything at this point. Reinstalling, temporarily removing mods and safe files, and even disabling the game packs I've already purchased. I even contacted Steam and they weren't able to fix the issue. Is there any way I could fix this or face the inevitable fact that I can't play the game again after spending 100+ hours on this game? Please, any help is appreciated. I've spent almost an year to fix this fatal bug.Solved68Views0likes6Commentsexpansion packs uninstalled and will not reinstall
Hello, I logged on today to play and all my expansion packs (55) had been uninstalled. No idea why or how but, whatever. So, I uninstalled the entire game and reinstalled it. No luck. In the EA app when I click on the "manage add ons" it doesn't give me the option to uninstall or repair like it used too. So, no way to re-install all of the add ons. The EA app told me to manage add ons through steam. So I logged on to steam and same issue. No expansion packs, no way to go through and uninstall/reinstall them. What is going on and how do I fix it? hhhheeellllppppp
