Not sure what kind of issue this is...
Hi! I'm not sure where to post this question. I cleaned up my mods and cc's after the update and reintroduced them all, on by one, back into my game. My game was running fine for the past ten days or so. My game was running fine yesterday. This morning, I turned my game on and a notification popped up saying "Turn Off Auto-scaling with OS Setting?". The two options to select are "Keep Current Settings" or "Turn Off Auto-Scaling (Recommended)". Now when I select "Keep Current Settings" the game wont load fully. It starts to load, and then it stops just before getting to the main menu. If I choose "Turn Off Auto-Scaling" I get a notification stating "Unrecognized Video Card". Can anyone help me figure this out? The game loads to the point of where I can see the green Sims emblem, with the info below that. Then the green emblem disappears, and only the info stays. Then the screen doesn't load past that.Repeated init.py Error Affecting Animations and Building Mode
Hello, I would like to report a recurring issue related to init.py errors in The Sims 4. I am currently running the latest version of the game: 1.122.218.1030-1.200.000.699.Release. The problem appears frequently and seems to affect both animations and Build/Buy mode functionality. I experience glitches, broken interactions, and occasional instability when placing or editing lots, as well as during certain character animations. My setup includes all expansions except for Royalty, Vampires, the Magic/Fairies pack, Rental, and Eco Lifestyle. The issue appears persistent rather than isolated, suggesting it may be related to core game files or scripting conflicts rather than a single corrupted asset. The repeated reference to init.py makes me believe it may involve internal Python-based scripts used by the game. I have already ensured that the game is up to date. If needed, I can provide additional details, logs, or steps to reproduce the issue. Please let me know if there is any further information required. Thank you for your time and assistance.Sims 4 EA and Steam Help
I just got a new laptop and I am trying to connect my sims 4 game. When I first logged in, it says I was missing my for rent pack. When I went to manage packs, it says I can only manage it through steam. I tried to download it on steam and now suddenly there's a secondary sims 4 on my home screen and I now have for rent but every single other added content is missing no matter which icon I click on my home screen. I need help please I dont know how to get everything back in order and I dont want to mess something up I cant go back on.Stuck on plumbob screen
I was playing the game totally fine last night - no issues. I went in today and now am stuck on the loading screen. It plays the sound as if it has loaded and is going to enter the game, but instead it just stays on the loading screen. I do play with mods and CC, but was playing less than 12 hours ago without a problem. I deleted the localcache and that didn’t help. I restarted my computer and the game multiple times and this hasn’t helped. Same issue each time - unless there was some update that I didn’t see happen between last night and today I am totally lost on what could be wrong since the game loaded yesterday night without error - help!!Game crashing after latest update
Every time I open the game after the march 20th update it crashes in the title screen. I've been able to get past the title screen a handful of times. Every time ive been able to load in, I instantly go into build mode and the second I place anything the game freezes and then crashes. This happened both when I had mods, and when I disabled all of my mods so I know its not an issue with my mods. I also dont have any DLC made after Werewolves.82Views0likes3CommentsThe Sims 4 - Frequent crash on desktop
I am experiencing frequent crashes while playing The Sims 4. The game suddenly closes and returns me to the desktop without any error message. I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps: -Removed all mods and custom content -Deleted cache files (localthumbcache, cachestr, etc.) -Reset the Sims 4 folder by creating a new one -Tested with a new save file -Restarted my computer Despite all of this, the issue continues to happen. The crashes seem to occur randomly during gameplay. Could you please let me know if this is a known issue or if there is any additional fix I can try?Post patch install
Title: Game Crashes After Installing Patch PC 1.122.218.1030 Platform: PC – Steam version Game Version: 1.122.218.1030 (DX11) Operating System: Windows 11 Description of the Issue: After installing patch PC 1.122.218.1030, my game began crashing consistently and unpredictably. The crashes occur during normal gameplay, including CAS, Build/Buy, and when attempting to load into a world. Prior to this patch, the game was stable on my system. Troubleshooting Already Attempted: Repaired the game through Steam Deleted the entire Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 folder to force a clean rebuild Relaunched the game with no mods or CC Disabled OneDrive syncing for the Documents folder Verified that the game is running with a fresh user folder Crashes still occur immediately or within a few minutes of gameplay Multiple LastCrash.txt files generated (stack traces included) Frequency: Every session — crashes occur within minutes or when loading into a world. Expected Result: Game should load into worlds and run without crashing. Actual Result: Game crashes to desktop with no error message. LastCrash files show repeating stack patterns. Additional Notes: This issue began only after installing patch 1.122.218.1030. No hardware or system changes were made on my end. Attached is the latest crash file.Broken gallery, library, & saves not working
As of yesterday, after working perfectly fine a few hours previous, my game has been unable to play. I don't know if there was an update or what. I'm not able to save households to my library, not even my personal ones that I edit/add to game (so I can't start a new save). It always times me out and tells me to check my internet connection (which is fine). Gallery doesn't load beyond red "/"'s and whenever I play and save, once I exit and return its reverted to its state prior to playing. So I can't do anything. I've restarted the game, the EA app, my computer, steam, verified integrity of files, cleared cache, and moved what few (inactive) mods I had leftover sitting in my game files out of there completely, which I had forgotten about. But none of it has changed anything, beyond the last two causing multiple portraits of sims in my library to now have that entirely blacked out glitch - though only in the overall household photo, not their personal ones that show their traits and stuff. I don't know what to do. I don't have mods or CC, and I haven't purchased any of the newest packs. So is it just a server issue that I have to wait out? Are my sims and saves somehow corrupted?Solved178Views0likes4Comments
