Community Manager@EA_CadeSame as above, my game crashes at lunch when using the Dx11 command.
It worked once for me, but it's now crashing launch.
LOLOL! Disable edge smoothing, and then it will run! It's funny. It fixed the problem I was having with edge smoothing since the beginning of TS4, but yet you have to disable it to launch the game, and then reenable it when the game launches to get the effects.

here is my dxdiag.
Ever since I started opening the game using DX, some of my family photos started... having issued. I attached a screenshot so you can see what I mean but they are either distorted or completely black. The ones that became like this were all small sized, either horizontal or vertical. They were mounted on the wall when this issue happened.
(Oh and by the way, I have the base game and most of my packs, but not all, on Steam.)
Platform: PC (Windows 10 Pro N) (Steam version of the game)

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have all packs and kits except for Castle kit and Batuu game pack.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just have a several generations old (mine was 7 gen old) household and have their old photos from first gen mounted on the wall using frames from Growing Together expansion pack, maybe? Then run the game using -dx11 command from Steam.
What happens when the bug occurs? Some family photos are either distorted or completely black.
What do you expect to see? My family photos not broken? ^^;
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? I removed all mods (which were only MCCC and the one that allows you to use wedding cakes as birthday cakes) and ran the game again but the issue was still there. The issue was only gone when I stopped using DX.
(I also did the DxDiag thingy and attached the file here along with a screenshot of the issue.)
Turning a screenshot from the photo manager into a memory will distort the screenshot irreversibly, and you can see it instantly after clicking to turn it into a memory. Photos will also irreversibly distort to a buggy image if you set a filter for them.
Crafted from reference items such a cross stitch decoration will be distorted if it was made from before this DX11 update. If you make a fresh one with DX11 it seems to be ok and appear normal.
