The Sims TeamTried all the suggestions and still can't access desktop view. I changed from Fullscreen to Windowed Fullscreen and that did not help. I disabled DX11 as well and I still cannot correctly minimize my game. No mods. Did a repair game. Nothing is working.
I have a dual-GPU (Intel and Nvidia) laptop. Because my Dell laptop is running DirectX 12 I assumed I would be all set with the DX11 optimizations but my game defaulted to DX9 and I had to force DX11 mode.
My game was running on DX9 so I had to force DX11 mode in game properties in the EA App.
Game is now running DX11.
