- Which language are you playing the game in? English
- How often does the bug occur? often when i try to save or go to the map view/travel
- What is your current game version number?
- What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All exp, all game pack, all stuff packs
- Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? run the game a while and play, then try to save or travel.
- What happens when the bug occurs? I get a loading screen that never ends. Some history. I had been playing in a modded save and was having issues saving, so I removed my mods folder and created a new save in Sulani. Was able to build a small lot. I tried fishing on the lot and the sim said they couldn't. I tried other fishing signs in Sulani and the sim couldn't fish. I then travelled to Willow creek and tried fishing in the pond and the sim was able to fish. I then hit the M key to travel back home. I was sent to the home lot but my sim was not there. The portrait was grayed out like they were away. I then again tried to go to manage worlds and got the constant loading screen. Alt F4 did not work. I had to use task manager to close the game. When re-entering the game and choosing resume i get the constant load screen. Force stop and try loading the game with Load game. it says my sim is at home, but when i try to play i get the constant load screen. try loading game and playing a previously unplayed household and it loads. I try to visit my original lot with this new sim and i get the constant load screen and unable to locate my original sim.
- What do you expect to see? i expect the game to load after saving or traveling.
- Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? I have the same issues loading screen issue with a modded or unmodded save.

@blewbirdbre The issue with fishing in Sulani is a known bug. Please use this master thread.
For the endless loading, if it happens only on lots with traits or challenges, e.g. Off the Grid, please use this thread.
Otherwise, if you can load some lots but not others, please post in Game Issues for more targeted help. You can of course try switching to DirectX 9 mode (instructions here); if DX9 mode doesn't help, it's not a DX11 issue.
@silmarwennenharm Please stick to your own thread. As noted, this may well be a problem with your virtual machine.
@looloolooweez @candiecoatediv @Ellupelluellu @atreya33 Thanks for the feedback.
@punkinkarr This is a known issue with the DirectX 11 version of Sims 4. I've merged your post with the master feedback thread. For now, your options are to play in windowed fullscreen or windowed mode, or to revert to DirectX 9 mode.
@AIT3ANN Putting this in a spoiler so it doesn't take up as much space:
Spoiler- Hit Windows key-X
- Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
- Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes, and enter
- The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
- After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
- Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
- Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes, and enter
- Post the message you receive here
Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates. If any install, restart again afterwards.
Please also try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.
If that doesn't help, please do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the graphics driver, as described here:

@puzzlezaddict Hi, so I did all of that, I didn't get any errors after the first step and this was the message I got after the second:
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.
After restarting the computer and checking for updates I tried to play the game again but it still crashed. Then I moved the Sims 4 folder out and started a new game and everything seems to be fine. Would I be able to move the contents of the old sims 4 folder back now or do I need to do anything else?
Thanks for all your help!

@AIT3ANN You can move the files you want to keep to the new Sims 4 folder, but please do so one folder at a time so you can figure out what the problem is. Saves and Tray files (saved households and builds) should be fine, as should Screenshots and Recorded Videos. Login rewards are saved to accountDataDB.package now. Anything in Mods needs to be tested, and anything in ConfigOverride should probably just be deleted until it's updated for this patch. The rest can be discarded, but here's a description of the files in case you're curious:
