  • Platform: Windows 11
  • Which language are you playing the game in?  English
  • How often does the bug occur? Every time since the 10/22/2024 update
  • What is your current game version number?  1.110.265.1030
  • What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed?  All
  • Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?  Go into Live Mode then press the "Windows" key.
  • What happens when the bug occurs?  Click on any task bar/desktop icon, the application won't come up & desktop background is your current screen in Sims 4.
  • What do you expect to see?  To return to your desktop (with actual background wallpaper) and to use any of the apps (ie: browser).
  • Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods?  Removed them because of 10/22/2024 update.

Note: My laptop has DX12 installed, and I have a GeoForce RTX3050 graphics card, which I have no problems with running The Sims 4. I switched the game to DX9 and, so far, it's working as it should.
