Dream Home Decorator items bugged

Product: The Sims 4
Platform: PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? My Wedding Stories, Tiny Living, Seasons, Romantic Garden, Parenthood, My First Pet Stuff, Luxury Party Stuff, Laundry Day Stuff, Jungle Adventure, Dream Home Decorator, Discover University, Cottage Living, City Living, Cats and Dogs, Backyard Stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? In build/buy mode, go to shelving, click on any Dream Home Decorator item. 
What happens when the bug occurs? The whole game shuts down
What do you expect to see? The game not to shut immediately

Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? No, never
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? It was happening before the most recent update, and it is still happening after.

    cwniamh​  Sorry for the late reply.  Does this happen with any other items?  Are you playing in DirectX 9 or 11 mode?  You can see this detail in the lower-left corner of the Main Menu, after the version number.  If you're in DX9 mode, try DX11 instead.  Open the EA App, click Sims 4 > Manage > View properties, and add -dx11 (with the hyphen) to the command line box.

    If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
