Each screen freezing on me

So I have not played Sims4 in about a year due to a busy home life with two young children. I've been missing it so I went to start it back up again yesterday and have been very frustrated since. It starts loading, then freezes. If I hit the windows button on my laptop then go back into the game, the next loading screen is up, but then it freezes, too. Each loading screen does this. Then when it finally opens, each click in the game causes the same issue: it freezes and won't go to the next screen until I click the windows button then go back into the game. Any ideas on what is going on? I don't have any CC. I already uninstalled and reinstalled. I am at a loss and so frustrated :-(

I actually took all of my CC out trying to see if that was the issue. I never have anything else running while I play. And lately I've been trying on Sims 3 which I don't think has a laptop mode. It's so frustrating because it was working beautifully since the last fix then one day it decided it didn't want to anymore. *sigh*

It's been awhile since I did the DxDiag. How do I do that again?

Went to that site and did that....still no fix. Maybe I'm just plain out of luck.

Could it have anything to do with Sims showing that my graphics card isn't found?

    Sorry your still having problems

Make sure you have all your window updates, also your security updated.

Out-dated graphics and sound drivers, missing Windows Service Packs and other components that are not up-to-date can cause problems with your game. Make sure you update those regularly.
Computer maintenance is important. Defrag your Computer, clean your Registry and get rid of temporary files on a regular basis. Also, clean the ventilators from time to time and if you have a desktop open it up and clean it inside.

(Rightclick the game in Origin and select Repair.)

Hope this helps, I am not an EA employee I am just trying to help. So if it did help please grant XP points ty.

I just recently restored my computer and I've gone through everything I can to get updates. Like I said, I think I'm just out of luck. It's just so odd that it was working great then all of a sudden stopped.

Still no change. So I guess my only option at this point is to wait until I can afford a better laptop. So that leaves me to ask...any laptop recommendations?
